International Paralympic Committee Equestrian

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) was founded in 1989 by six international organizations - CISS: Comité International Sports des Sourds; CPISRA: Cerebral Palsy International Sport and Recreation Association; IBSA: International Blind Sport Association; INAS-FMH: International Association of Sport for Persons with Mental Handicaps; ISMGF: International Stoke Mandeville Games Federation (now ISMWSF: International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation); and ISOD: International Sport Organization for the Disabled - and the nations attending the Inaugural General Assembly.
The IPC mandate includes supervision and coordination of the Paralympic and other multi-disability world and regional championships and games, the promotion of sport for athletes with disabilities, and the organizing of sport-specific competitions.

"   Balance, rhythm, precision... equestrian competition is open to athletes with cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, visual impairments, blindness or mental disabilites. Spectators at Summer Paralympic Games are sure to witness competitors in the dressage event who demonstrate harmony with their horse, and perform world-class routines with high levels of balance, rhythm, energy and precision.

   In dressage competition, riders perform individually and they must ride a pattern which includes various changes in pace and direction. At the Paralympics, all riders are grouped according to their functional profiles and they are judged on their ability to control and maneuver the horses.

   The International Paralympic Equestrian Committee is happy to help and advise on any matters concerning any competitions involving disabled riders. This includes administration, riding, judging and choice of competition (e.g. showjumping, mounted games, carriage driving, etc.)."

Note : Officiellement RIEN, l'équitation -suivant certaines instances "officielles"- est un sport compétitif de haut niveau, pas une organisation de chartitié ou de pitié (sic). (Je serais charitable je ne dirai pas qui a fait cette réponse) J'en prend note mais je leur signale que je monte à cheval quand même et donc endehors de leur structure ...

Ceci dit il existe en Belgique énormément de fédérations et l'hippothérapie comme l'équitation adaptée demandant énormément d'énergie et de moyens humains, ceci explique peut être cela, d'autre part d'innombrables initiatives ont vu le jour en marge ou dans des circuits officiels, n'en déplaise à certains.  Voici déjà quelques points de contact parmi les différentes fédérations très dynamiques ...

Son but est :  d'informer le public et les milieux intéressés par cette forme de thérapie, de former des spécialistes et aussi d'accorder une aide matérielle pour les cours donnés dans sa région. Handhippo s'est associé à la "S.E.R.K." FORMATION EQUITATION ADAPTÉE

Une formation ADEPS en Equitation Adaptée aux handicapés La section "Elite et cadre" de l'ADEPS organise  une formation en équitation adaptée. Le prérecquis est le brevet d'Initiateur ADEPS en Sports Equestres. Il faut également produire la preuve de la réussite des cours généraux du niveau d'Aide- Moniteur. Les cours se donneront au centre du Blocry, place des Sports, à 1348 Louvain- la-Neuve durant la période de mars à juin

L'ECOLE DE MONITEURS ET D'ENTRAÎNEURS COURS GÉNÉRAUX JURY CENTRAL 1999 La section Elite et Cadre de l'ADEPS propose une formule adaptée dans l'organisation des cours généraux: le Jury Central. Ainsi, les intéressés auront dorénavant une occasion supplémentaire de satisfaire aux examens portant sur les cours généraux, obligatoires pour l'accession à une formule spécifique. L'Adeps pense ainsi donner aux futurs cadres engagés dans divers championnats l'opportunité de suivre un cycle de formation.

Pourquoi créer un centre d'hippothérapie ?

Pour offrir des " activités assistées par le cheval " aux enfants handicapés et malades (en phase terminale d'un cancer ou du sida) pour leur faire profiter de quelques heures de bonheur et oublier leur douleur et ce, gratuitement.

Pour moi, dans la vie, il y a deux choses essentielles à respecter : l'enfance et la souffrance.
Du fait que j'ai réussi à vaincre le cancer, j'ai pu constater les bienfaits des équidés et d'autres animaux. Mon souhait est de faire partager mon expérience et mes connaissances pédagogiques et médicales. Mon unique salaire sera le sourire des enfants et des parents.

Aux USA et au Canada, l'hippothérapie est reconnue comme thérapie et des CHU (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire) ont mis sur pied la thérapie par les animaux avec des visites canines dans les services de pédiatrie, cancérologie, et gériatrie. C'est un grand succès.

Les séances d'hippothérapie ou assistance par les équidés sont onéreuses et non remboursées

Les frais médicaux sont lourds, et moi, je désire faire oublier la maladie et le stress que doivent subir les enfants et parents en les plongeant dans un monde où la nature, le calme, la sérénité, la tendresse des chevaux vont leur permettre de vivre quelques heures inoubliables.

La pratique de la thérapie grâce aux équidés ne s'improvise pas elle doit se fonder sur une parfaite connaissance du domaine thérapeutique, de la psychologie, de l'équitation, du bien-être animal et du bien-être des enfants

Ce centre devra permettre aux enfants handicapés mais surtout condamnés par une maladie incurable ( cancer, sida, insuffisance rénale en attente d'une greffe) de vivre leur rêve d'un jour, de pouvoir être en contact avec des animaux de leur taille de les toucher, de respirer la nature, de pouvoir s'évader de leur pénible quotidien.

Heel veel info over ziektes en over het leven met alle vormen van handicaps -  plus het leven er om heen - en hoe er mee om te gaan, o.a.  lotgenoten-contakten, aanpassingen,  enz.
 
Men verneemt o.a. dat het in Nederland paard rijden met de steun van de Federatie Paardrijden voor Gehandicapten (lid RDI) mogelijk is, en dat 70 instellingen mee doen.
Het Kantoor zit in Den Haag. Ze zijn ook onder "FPG" te  vinden op internet maar opkijken FPG.com is geen paarden vereniging maar een comercieel firma op internet
De FPG pagina  http://www.vrijetijdwijzer.com/hh/fpg.htm is rader saai en wat mijn betreft (bijna blind)  onleesbaar.  Ik heb dus die moeten kopieren en vrijmaken voor er van meer te weten te komen.  Helaas geen links nog info maar wel het buro adress, tel en fax nr.
Bel maar even het is echt de mooite waard..
De FPG belangstelling zijn nu opgenomen door de NEBAS.

"Paardesport  /  Omschrijving

Paardrijden is een unieke en spannende sport omdat  het met een ander levend wezen wordt beoefend, het  paard. Het is een vorm van inspanning die tevens  resulteert in ontspanning. Het biedt de mogelijkheid om  buiten te zijn. Paardrijden geschiedt individueel of in  groepsverband. Het begint bij de basis met de  dressuur. Afhankelijk van de ernst van de beperking  kan ook worden deelgenomen aan buitenritten, kan  worden gesprongen en (eventueel) aangespannen  worden gereden (met paard en wagen).

Doelgroep

Een zintuiglijke of lichamelijke beperking (waaronder een visuele, auditieve beperking, dwarslaesie of  amputatie) hoeft geen beletsel te zijn om paard te  rijden.

Aanpassingen

 Er komen steeds meer maneges die aan ruiters met een  beperking de mogelijkheid bieden om paard te rijden.  Niet iedere manege beschikt echter over dezelfde  faciliteiten en begeleidingsmogelijkheden. Daarom dient  per individu te worden bekeken welke aanpassingen  nodig zijn en welke manege deze aanpassingen kan  bieden. In het geval van een zeer zware lichamelijke  beperking kan bijvoorbeeld op een 'huifbed' worden  gereden. Dit is een soort steun die gedragen wordt  door twee paarden of pony's.
 

Sportvormen

Paardrijden kan altijd recreatief worden beoefend.  Afhankelijk van het niveau van de ruiter kan aan  wedstrijden worden deelgenomen. Hierbij kan men  denken aan reguliere wedstrijden en wedstrijden die  speciaal bedoeld zijn voor ruiters met een beperking.  Dit kan zowel op regionaal, nationaal als internationaal  niveau (Paralympics). In de vakantiesfeer worden paarden- en ponykampen georganiseerd, waaraan eenieder kan deelnemen.

"Bij de Kapberg rijden ruiters en amazones die vanwege hun handicap, hetzij lichamelijk en / of geestelijk, behoefte hebben aan extra begeleiding. Dit varieert van het met vier mensen begeleiden van een ruiter te paard tot en met het aanbieden van een opstappodium voor rolstoelers of een aangepast zadel.  De ervaring leert dat veel ruiters en amazones na verloop van tijd bijna geheel zelfstandig kunnen rijden. Om de veiligheid tijdens het rijden te waarborgen is er altijd een aantal begeleiders in de rijbak aanwezig.  Rijlessen worden gegeven door een gediplomeerd instructrice met een speciale opleiding voor het lesgeven van paardrijlessen aan gehandicapten. In de lessen kan zij een beroep doen op een grote groep enthousiaste vrijwilligers als ondersteuning. Wanneer het nodig is, kan een beroep worden gedaan op een aantal deskundigen zoals een fysiotherapeut, een arts en (ortho)-pedagoog."

 

Land Dag 2001 :

"Volgendjaar organiseerd Stichting De Kapberg de nieuwelanddag.
Jaja eindelijk is het zo ver volgend jaar wordt de landdag georganiseerd in hengelo.
Dit jaarlijks terug kerend evenement is elk jaar weer het hoogte punt van het seizoen.
De nieuwe landdag zal in 2001 niet onderdoen ten opzichte van de afgelopen landdagen.
Voor de mensen die niet weten wat de landdag is zal ik een globaal beeld scheppen over de landdag. De landdag lijkt in grote lijnen op een concour. Er is echter een zeer groot verschil. Dit verschil zit hem in het motto van elke landdag :
Mee doen is belangrijker dan winnen.
Elke ruiter en amazone krijgt altijd een beker en een diploma met cijferlijst. Er bestaat hierdoor een geen competitie verband tussen de ruiters en amazones. Er wordt echter wel een apparte wedstrijd naast het normale dessuur gedeelte gereden. Als men hier aan mee wil doen dient men te worden ingeschreven door zijn of haar manage.

De Manege zonder Drempels is bekend door het huifbed. Hierop kunnen gehandicapten paardrijden die daartoe anders, ondanks allerlei hulpmiddelen, niet of nauwelijks in staat zijn. Dat gaat, kort gezegd, als volgt. Twee getrainde pony's lopen in een stalen frame waarin een doek gespannen is, precies boven de ruggen van de dieren. De gebruiker komt op dit zeil te liggen. Door de loopbeweging van de pony's en hun natuurlijke warmte wordt het gehele lichaam op een prettige manier gemasseerd. Naar schatting niet meer dan 3% van de gehandicapten in Nederland beoefent een sport. Dit in tegenstelling tot de rond 75% van de valide Nederlanders. Sinds de jaren zestig wordt de beoefening van sport door gehandicapten sterk gestimuleerd. Het paardrijden is een van die sporten.

De Vereniging Federatie Paardrijden Gehandicapten (FPG) is sinds 1967 de overkoepelende organisatie van inmiddels ruim 70 stichtingen en verenigingen in Nederland die op non profit basis het paardrijden voor gehandicapten als doelstelling hebben.
Het doel van de FPG is de bevordering van het paardrijden door gehandicapten op een medisch, fysiotherapeutisch, psychologisch, pedagogisch en hippisch verantwoorde wijze. Zij ziet het paardrijden door gehandicapten als een combinatie van sportbeoefening, recreatief bezig zijn en therapeutische zorg. De FPG staat dan ook garant voor het op een verantwoorde wijze geven van rijlessen aan de gehandicapte ruiter. De instructeurs en instructrices krijgen daartoe een aparte opleiding. Het zgn. FPG-diploma wordt van overheidswege erkend.

Bij de lid-organisaties van de FPG rijden wekelijks ongeveer 6000 ruiters. Zij hebben een lichamelijke, zintuiglijke, verstandelijke of meervoudige handicap. Per jaar worden aan hen circa 200.000 lesuren gegeven. Voordat zij mogen paardrijden moeten zij medisch worden gekeurd. Bij de rijlessen aan lichamelijk gehandicapten is een fysiotherapeut betrokken. Wekelijks zijn enige duizenden vrijwilligers onze gehandicapte ruiters bij de lessen behulpzaam.

Voor de diverse soorten van handicaps zijn er allerlei aanpassingen ontwikkeld. Om de ruiter extra steun te geven zijn er zadels die vacuüm gezogen kunnen worden. Andere zadels zijn voorzien van een handgreep. Met klittenband te bevestigen zij- en rugsteunen op een versterkt zadeldek maken het mogelijk zwaar gehandicapte ruiters goed in het zadel te houden. Ook zijn er diverse aanpassingen aan teugels, stijgbeugels en andere onderdelen van het harnachement.

Thans zijn de volgende rij-activiteiten mogelijk:

- recreatief rijden;
- recreatief rijden met fysiotherapie;
- hippotherapie (doelgerichte fysiotherapie met het paard als hulpmiddel);
- voltigeren (als pedagogische/psychologische omgangsvormen);
- aangespannen rijden;
- wedstrijdsport (dressuur en aangespannen rijden).

Een deel van deze activiteiten bevindt zich nog in de opbouwfase en nog niet alle lid-organisaties kunnen deze voorzieningen aanbieden. Een en ander is ook sterk afhankelijk van de vraag en de mogelijkheden van de ruiters.

De FPG hecht veel waarde aan het therapeutische karakter van het paardrijden door gehandicapten. Kinderen met gedragsproblemen bijvoorbeeld kunnen intermenselijke contacten oefenen via de ralatie die zij met het paard hebben. Het verzorgen van het paard (voeren, borstelen, stal schoonmaken) kweekt het verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel aan en geeft de voldoening iets voor een ander te betekenen.

Te paard zittend valt het gevoel van lichamelijk gehandicapt zijn vaak grotendeels weg. Vanuit een paarderug ziet de wereld er immers geheel anders uit dan vanuit een rolstoel. Dit versterkt het zelfvertrouwen en het gevoel van gelijkwaardigheid. Het paardrijden werkt stimulerend op de algemene conditie zoals ademhaling, bloedcirculatie, motoriek, spierkracht, houding, en het reactievermogen.

De lid-organisaties ondernemen naast de wekelijkse rijles vele andere activiteiten voor de ruiters om de sociale contacten en de integratie te bevorderen: ruiterkampen, diplomarijden, eenvoudige wedstrijden, buitendagen, sinterklaasviering, festiviteiten, etc.

Samenvattend kan worden gesteld, dat bij het paardrijden een unieke gelegenheid aanwezig is om de handicap te doen vergeten, de persoonlijkheidsvorming te versterken en therapeutisch bezig te zijn en dat alles in een ambiance waarin het pure rijplezier het allerbelangrijkste is.

Outre les centres d'hippothérapie humaine je vous recommande  ces quelques cercles ci ouverts à tous, il y en a bien entendu beaucoup d'autres, les différentes fédérations pourront vous fournir des adresses mais un conseil téléphonnez avant et eventuellement faites une visite de reconnaissance avant la sortie.  J'ai verifié que ces cercles ci ont une pratique courante de la randonnée sécurisée avec des cavaliers différents sans les placer dans de la ouate...

Serge a rencontré là des vrais CAVALIERS :Amandine, une gamine de 17 ans qui monte un    Aratel de 4,5 ans (croisement d'un Arabe et d'un trait ardennais (le sang d'un arabe et la puissance d'un ardennais)), elle pèse 60 kg toute mouillée et impose sa volonté et sa détermination à sa juju.  Lorianne, une gamine de 19 ans, qui lit la carte avec un luxe de    détails qui épaterait les vieux scouts qui m'ont appris la carto, d'accord elle est étudiante en architecture, ça aide. Je lui ai demandé où as-tu appris la carto ? Elle m'a répondu : "J'ai  fait ça tout seule".  Sébastien et son Andalou, Jean-Louis, notre guide aveugle, qui au petit   galop côte à côte te dit "cadence ton cheval, il va retomber au trot"  Christelle, qui ne parle pas souvent, mais nous mène avec bonne humeur  dans les décors environnants et qui nous   mitonne cookies et cakes maison....
